Flanked by DJ Léo Jodry, Jean-Michel Potiron takes us on a journey halfway between a happening, a theatrical UFO and... convivial buffet. A witty odyssey to taste art as the most vital of foods.

Elitist, abstruse, mocked... Contemporary art has a bad reputation. And what if, contrary to popular belief, it had all the makings of a party? Flanked by DJ Léo Jodry, Jean-Michel Potiron takes us on a journey halfway between a happening, a theatrical UFO and... convivial buffet. A witty odyssey to taste art as the most vital of foods.
Who has never found themselves at a loss when faced with a work of contemporary art? Jean-Michel Potiron, actor and director, but also art critic and passionate teacher, is not one of those people who are helpless. All these talents are mobilized here to engage the audience in an interactive dialogue in a show like no other. Besides, can we really talk about a show when it comes to I need art? It is more like a work in progress, where listening to the author's intentions is already immersing oneself in the work. This is what contemporary art is all about: an art of storytelling that never stops questioning itself. Following the course of three stormy decades rich in controversy, Jean-Michel Potiron guides us to meet some of its major players, such as Paul McCarthy, Santiago Sierra, Pierre Joseph or Marina Abramovic... Artists and witnesses, they are the guests of an evening punctuated by readings, stories, appearances, reenactments and false conferences. So many sequences punctuated by delicious breaks at the buffet and interventions - not always programmed - by the DJ. A DJ? Perhaps it is he who holds the precious sesame, with his consummate art of mixing, diverting, paying homage, sampling... All contemporary art in short!
