Getting to Auxerre

Auxerre in Burgundy

Auxerre and Auxerrois are typical and traditional examples of Burgundy with charming undulating countryside, a magnificent historic and cultural heritage, a wealth of wines and gastronomy, situated just 1 hour and a half from Paris . 170 kms from Paris, 150 kms from Dijon and 78 kms from Troyes, Auxerre is easy to get to :







  • Auxerre is right on the A6 motorway with 2 possible junctions:
    - North Auxerre interchange, junction 19 for "Auxerre",
    - South Auxerre interchange, junction 20 for "Tonnerre".
  • Train connections Auxerre-Paris and Auxerre-Lyon-Avignon-Marseille.
  • The air base at Branches which can accommodate Boeing 737s (1650 m of runway), open 24 hours a day, 7kms north of Auxerre.

Auxerre in the Yonne

Auxerre in Burgundy, the capital of the Yonne département, is a lively and welcoming town with 40,000 inhabitants where life and holidays are of a high quality.
