You can enjoy exploring Auxerre, its town centre, half-timbered houses, statues of Cadet Roussel or Marie Noël as a family along the pedestrian trail marked out on the ground.
Each stage, representing a particular interest for you, is marked by a number on the ground and has an explanation in the brochure "Sur les traces de Cadet Roussel" available at the Tourist Office (price : 1.50 €). Children can set off in search of these numbers, a fun way of exploring the town.
Auxerre has a whole range of facilities for both young and old! The swimming pool and cinema are open all year round in the town, and a few kilometres outside the town, in Monéteau, there is a bowling alley and ice rink.
During the summer season (April to October), Auxerre also offers rides in electric boats, when children must be accompanied by an adult. They can, however, have a go at steering the boats under the watchful eye of their parents as the boats are so easy to operate.
You can also borrow binoculars to admire the flora and fauna during your boat ride, and colouring books are also available. Information from the Tourist Office:+33 (0)3.86.52.06.19
